Academy Hostel - Florence

As a light sleeper, I loved the social atmosphere and dinner parties that allowed me to make friends from around the world. the hostel's central location next to Florence Cathedral made it easy for me to find my way back and ensured I wouldn't get lost. the fastest wifi throughout my entire trip was a pleasant surprise, and the simple but nice breakfast starting at 7am was perfect for those planning day trips around Tuscany. the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, even providing an extension lead when I needed more outlets in my room. the rooms were clean and adequately sized for four people, with normal single beds that were much more comfortable than bunk beds.

Felt like a VIP, no complaints.

Academy Hostel is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting guests by name. the location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the famous Duomo and Academia museum. the hostel feels safe and secure, with a gate entrance. the beds are comfortable and there are no bunk beds, ensuring a good night's sleep. the common areas, such as the patio and main room, offer a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. the kitchen is well-equipped and the complimentary breakfast exceeds expectations. Comfortable private rooms and helpful staff

The staff was helpful, always going above and beyond to assist us with any requests or questions we had. The location of the hostel was perfect, right in the center of town, making it convenient to explore all the nearby attractions. While there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the lackluster breakfast and limited plugs near the bed, overall I would highly recommend this hostel based on the comfortable accommodations and the excellent service provided by the staff.

Great location, just minutes away from the train station and right next to the Duomo. Convenient for day trips and exploring the city. Helpful and friendly staff, provided extra sockets upon request. Fastest Wi-Fi throughout the trip, perfect for staying connected while traveling. Simple but nice breakfast served from 7am, ideal for early morning excursions in Tuscany.

Hot water issue

Prime location near famous attractions and train station. Spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly, helpful staff and speedy WiFi. Enjoy simple breakfast. Popular hangout spot with terrace and common area.

We had a romantic escape at this hostel and there were a few things we really enjoyed. the bathrooms were super clean and spacious, which was a pleasant surprise. the location was perfect, just a short walk away from major attractions. And thirdly, the comfortable single beds were a great change from the usual bunk beds found in most hostels.

There were a few aspects that we didn't like during our stay. the breakfast was a bit lacking, consisting mainly of cereal and juice.

The location of the hostel was fantastic, with easy access to the main city attractions. Being able to walk everywhere was a huge convenience. Additionally, the room itself was quite spacious and had separators, giving it a more private feel. The staff at the hostel were also very helpful and friendly, providing assistance whenever needed.

There were a few downsides to my stay. the breakfast offered was subpar, with limited options and sometimes items not being refilled promptly.

academy is the perfect place to stay to explore florence, with a great location near the train station and major attractions. the staff is fantastic and the cleanliness is satisfactory. the provided towels and the chill-out patio are nice touches that add to the overall experience.
